Hotel Casa Tra Noi Rome is one of the cheapest hotel in the city, at just 3.5 km from the Pantheon, the Roman monument which boasts the largest number of primates: it is the best preserved, has the largest masonry dome in the history of architecture, is considered the anticipator of all modern places of worship, and has been the most copied and imitated works of antiquity.
The name comes from two Greek words: pan, "all" and theon "divine", in fact, the Pantheon was originally a small temple dedicated to all Roman gods. Erected between the 27 and the 25 BC by the consul Agrippa, prefect of the Emperor Augustus, the present building is the work of successive and massive restructuring.
The point in which it stands is not casual but is a legendary place in the history of the city. According to a Roman legend, in fact, this was the place where the founder of Rome, Romulus, at his death was seized by an eagle and taken up to the sky among the gods. Domitian in the 80 AD, rebuilt it after a burning, thirty years later struck by lightning it again took fire. It was then rebuilt in its present form by Emperor Hadrian, under whose reign the Roman Empire reached its peak splendor, and it is likely that the current structure is the result of his own eclectic genius with exotic tastes. In fact, the Pantheon links a cylindrical structure, of clear Roman mold, with the beautiful outdoor colonnade of Greek inspiration.
